With pride the Indonesia Nederland Youth Society (INYS) invites you to compete on a global scale. This year’s event will be hosted by the INYS in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Hague and Rumah Budaya.
The Speaking Competition will be held on June 3rd, 2017 at the Indonesian Embassy in The Hague.

Why should you apply:
- Gain and develop your public speaking skills through an engaging workshop organised by an enthusiastic young professional
- Practice your Bahasa speaking skills with likeminded keen individuals
- Engage and meet with other Indonesia-minded students and young professionals
- Be a part of the Indonesian Nederland Youth Society and develop your network

- This year’s winners will have a shot at being a part of the International Youth Delegation during Indonesia’s Independence Day, 17th of August!

There are two categories you can choose from.
- Speech with topic “Pentingnya Belajar Bahasa Indonesia”
- Storytelling with topic “Cerita Rakyat Indonesia: Dongeng”
We will contact the participants by e-mail for the futher details after completing the registration form.
Requirements of the participants:
- Not a native speaker of Indonesian or Malaysian
- At least 18 years old
Program in Indonesia:
August 15th: Arrival in Indonesia
August 16th: Tour around Jakarta in the afternoon & dinner
August 17th: Independence Day Ceremony at Istana Negara & trip to Yogjakarta
August 18th & 19th: Sightseeing in Yogjakarta
August 20th: Going back to the Netherlands!

Beste dames en heren,
Daag jij jezelf graag uit, beoefen je Indonesisch, en ontwikkel je public speaking skills!
Vol trots nodigt de INYS jou uit om mee te doen aan onze jaarlijkse Speaking Competition. Dit jaarlijks evenement wordt gehouden in samenwerking met de Indonesische Ambassade in Den Haag en Rumah Budaya.
Doe mee aan onze jaarlijkse Speaking Competition en maak kans op een volledig verzorgde reis. De winnaars van de Speech en de Storytelling winnen een volledig verzorgde reis naar Indonesië rondom haar Onafhankelijkheidsdag op 17 augustus!
De Speaking Competition wordt gehouden op 3 juni 2017 op de Indonesische Ambassade in Den Haag.
Waarom zou je moeten meedoen:
⋆ Stimuleer je presentatie en speech vaardigheden met behulp van een coach
⋆ Beoefen je Bahasa Indonesia taalvaardigheden met gelijkgestelde geïnteresseerden
⋆ Ontmoet andere mensen die net als jou een interesse en passie hebben voor Indonesië
⋆ Word een onderdeel van de Indonesia Nederland Youth Society en vergroot je netwerk
⋆ Maak kans op een volledig verzorgde reis naar Indonesië rondom Bevrijdingsdag (17 augustus)

Algemene voorwaarden:
⋆ Indonesisch is niet je moedertaal
⋆ Minimaal 18 jaar
⋆ Duur van de speech of verhaal: 7 minuten
De deelnemers worden na het invullen van het registratieformulier benaderd met verdere details over het evenement.
⋆ Het thema van dit jaar, The Importance of Learning Bahasa Indonesia wordt opgesplitst in twee onderdelen:
1. Speech: Formeel, verdedig je stelling aan de hand van argumenten
2. Storytelling: Vertel een Indonesisch volksverhaal na in je eigen woorden met behulp van eventuele attributen zoals een wayang pop.
Programma in Indonesië:
15 augustus: Aankomst in Indonesië
16 augustus: ‘s Middags een tour in Jakarta & ‘s avonds een diner
17 augustus: Onafhankelijkheidsceremonie op de Istana Negara & trip naar Yogjakarta
18 & 19 augustus: Bezienswaardigheden bekijken in Yogjakarta
20 augustus: Terug naar Nederland!
